Hasson Green Team Agents Become Real Estate Trade Allies with Energy Trust of Oregon

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. – September 26, 2008 – Premier independent real estate brokerage in the Northwest, The Hasson Company, announced today that 21 real estate agents with its designated Green Team have been appointed Real Estate Professional Trade Allies by the independent nonprofit organization Energy Trust of Oregon, Inc.

Dedicated to helping Oregonians save energy, Energy Trust launched the Real Estate Professional Trade Ally Network last month to help deliver the message of energy awareness and incorporate energy efficiency into households throughout the state. The organization works to deliver energy efficiency and renewable energy options to Oregon customers of Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural and Cascade Natural Gas. In light of the current real estate market and emphasis on sustainability in homes, the recent addition of the real estate industry to the Energy Trust Trade Ally Network seemed a natural fit.

Through the joint effort of Energy Trust’s Real Estate Professional Trade Ally training and Earth Advantage® S.T.A.R. program, Hasson Green Team agents have improved their understanding of emerging energy-efficiency technologies and techniques. In turn, this increased knowledge will allow Hasson agents to better serve their clients when it comes to the ever-expanding emphasis on sustainability in real estate.
