FOREIGN ACCENTS CELEBRATES 25th ANNIVERSARY

Albuquerque based contemporary rug company, Foreign Accents, celebrates 25 years of business in 2009. The company was founded in a small adobe building in Santa Fe, NM, in 1984. Originally importing from Morocco and Egypt, Foreign Accents has developed rug programs and imported from over 30 countries in the past 25 years.

Foreign Accents has a history of starting and sponsoring community based development projects in foreign countries. Among other projects, the owners began a joint development project with the Swedish government in Costa Rica. Also in 1997, the company helped to develop a banana bark rug factory in Haiti.

Known for modern design and colorful, contemporary patterns, Foreign Accents has received a number of industry awards for outstanding design, including “Best New Product” in NY several years in a row. The company participates in several large industry trade shows, including Las Vegas World Market and High Point Market.

Foreign Accents will be showing all rug collections at the upcoming High Point Market, Oct. 20- 26. The showroom is located in Suite G-105, at the Suites at Market Square.
