Green Custom Home Builder of the Year 2006
Jim Chauncey of SunTerra Homes, was named the Custom Home Builder of the Year during the National Association of Home Builders’ 8th Annual National Green Building Conference. NAHB promotes environmentally responsible and resource-efficient construction methods through the Green Building Subcommittee, the NAHB Model Green Home Building Guidelines, and the annual National Green Building Conference. The National Green Building Conference is the only national conference targeted to "Green Building" for the mainstream residential building industry.

Energy Value Housing Award™ 2006 - Gold
SunTerra's home has won the top-tier level, Gold, for the NAHB's EnergyValue Housing Award (EVHA) in the custom built, cold climate category. Not only has this home achieved a high level of energy efficiency, but has added a multitude of healthier indoor air and environmentally responsible features that defines it as a truly sustainable design.

Both the home and many of the products in it carry the Energy Star label. The home itself meets minimum insulation standards. Oregon Solar Home Tour 2004
While still under construction, the project was featured in this important statewide event. The tour is organized by the BuildingGreen Council of Central Oregon.
