Energy Source Home Labels
|
Capturing the extra value of home energy efficiency is vital to the success of home energy rating systems and home certification programs. But how can the housing marketplace express a value for features that can't be seen? This is a dilemma that has confronted energy efficiency programs for years. That's why Iris Communications, Inc. developed the Energy Source® Home Label back in 1989. Since then dozens of utilities, rating organizations and government agencies have adopted Energy Source Home Labels. Labeling is an essential part of energy efficiency programs. The Energy Source Label offers the ideal combination of quality, cost and customization to enhance your program's effectiveness in the marketplace. VisibilityEnergy Source® Label is the only national home labeling system. Utilities, nonprofit organizations and government agencies from the Northwest to New England are using Energy Source Labels for homes whose energy performance is rated or certified. Independent rating agencies apply labels to newly-built homes, existing homes and manufactured homes. This documents the energy saving features of these homes for decades to come. ValueEnergy Source Labels provide a key link in the energy-efficient mortgage process. These labels allow appraisers, Realtors and lenders to quickly and accurately assess a home's energy features. The label remains in place for decades, long after certificates and other documents have been lost. CustomizedEnergy Source Labels balance uniformity with the flexibility to fit local needs. All printing within the white rectangle can be customized for your program. The Energy Source Home Label can be customized for your program to list the features unique to each home, including insulation values, heating system information and other energy and indoor air quality characteristics. It also can identify any home energy ratings or certifications. Some organizations choose to print the features with a laser printer. This can be accomplished with your word processing, database or energy rating software. Others choose the simplicity of filling in the label by hand. This allows field staff to complete labels on the spot. In this case, we pre-print the feature categories at no additional cost. Of course, each organization wants program identification, so we can add program names and logos to the white area for any label. With a minimum order of 3,000 labels, you can add your program logo to the roof area.
